​Robert College celebrated the anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic with several events during Republic Week. "Republic Evening" began with a lantern procession and finished with a unique performance on the Suna Kıraç stage by famous pianist Timur Selçuk and vocalist Nüket Duru. Also during Republic Week, notable author Zülfü Livaneli met with Robert College students and gave a talk on the Republic, democracy and art. The week was closed on an enthusiastic note with speeches and presentations prepared by students, and songs and marches performed by the RC Orchestra and RC Singers choir during the Republic Day Ceremony program. The "People of the Republic" exhibition was on display throughout the week, presenting examples of artists and scientists who helped develop the Republic.
